First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Skin Tint

Introducing the First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Skin Tint; a foundation designed and produced by a skincare company.

I have to admit, Im a bit of a full coverage snob! I love a smooth, flawless finish and the thought of all of my “flaws” showing through my foundation through leaves me in a cold sweat. So these little unassuming squeezy bottles with a super long name (for the record these are called the Hello FAB Triple Protection Skin Tint with Goji Berry) from First Aid Beauty had me wondering.

The First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Skin Tint is the first foundation offering from First Aid Beauty, I first fell in love with FAB beauty very early in the year as they first mad their way to Sephora shelves. Because its from a skincare company you would expect that the foundations contain skin benefiting ingredients.

…and you would be right. The foundation is rich in antioxidnts including goji berry and vitamin C. And also helps to protect your sin from  harmful UVA and UVB rays  with a purely mineral sunscreen. What is more substantial is  the list of ingredients that are missing. The foundation contains no parabens, sulfates or Phthalates, is vegan, cruelty free and extensively allergy tested.

All this is fantastic, however, what is the actual product like?

The formula is incredibly thin and light. The texture is almost silky and melts into the skin with minimal work. It is incredibly quick to work with and behaves like no other complexion product I own.

One layer, applied with fingers in natural light.. no filter.. *gulp*

The product doesn’t seem intensely pigmented, however a single layer patted in with fingers seems to make everything seem so much more even. My skin looked slightly blurred, my pores less prominent. My skin looked like a better version of my skin, without any detectible signs of product sitting on it at all.

The skin tint also proved extremely buildable and worked best with a sponge (I swear by the beauty blender) rather than a brush.

After using a few times, and being amazed at its lightweight formula I actually offered this product to a male friend as the finish  really does seem perfect for those wanting invisible coverage.

Despite the tiny bottle, there is 30ml of product, my only criticism is that you need quite a few drops and dispersing the fluid can be quite messy.

There are four shades available which is far from ideal, however the shades are fairly forgiving,  particularly if used in a single layer.

First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Skin Tint ($57) is available exclusively at Sephora

This item was sent as a sample for my consideration.

The foundation looks amazing on you! Currently I use a brush to apply it but I'll try using my fingers and also a sponge.
