And now for something completely different! A new ultra moisturising, sheer lip colour from L’Oreal. The L’Oreal Infallible Sexy Balm collection arrived on my door step in a rather large jar of jelly beans ( I wasnt mad at that at all!) and promised 12 hours of subtle colour and moisture.

L’Oreal Infallible Sexy Balm collection consists of 12 shades of a moisturising gel balm formulation in two finishes; sheer and bold. I was a little sceptical at a range of coloured balms simply because if they were as sheer as they appeared then such a range of colours might be a little redundant. But I was wrong!

The sheer shades still offer quite a lot of pigmentation while still maintaining a lovely natural sheer finish. There are eight shades ranging from an absolute clear to peachy nudes, bright pinks and red.

The four bold shades are incredibly rich with super saturated colour but still have a very thin and slippy feel on the lips.  There is a wonderful burgundy shade called Wasted,  a beautiful rich pink ( Adventure) and an ultra flattering red (Yala Yolo)

The chubby stick style packaging reveals a lip defining tip to give a precise application straight from the tube however as these are not a sharpen-able product the tip will soon wear down. This is not such a problem with the sheer shades (these are perfect for a no mirror touch up throughout the day) but the bold colours will need to be applied carefully.

It would be a wise move to use the bold shades along with a lip liner to help the colour stay in place as the rich pigment along with the soft and pillowy formula is likely to move throughout the day.
