Casey, with her 1.3 million youtube subs knows her glow so was an obvious choice for a new highlighting palette.. or should we say palettes.

In order to cater to a wider range of skin tones Smashbox and Casey have produced not one but two versions of the “Casey Holmes x Smashbox Spotlight Palette”

This beauty blogger has her hands on the Gold version of the Casey Holmes x Smashbox Spotlight Palette in Gold and isnt afraid to use it.

Casey Holmes x Smashbox Spotlight Palette

Each of the Casey Holmes x Smashbox Spotlight Palette contains three shades of glowy product. The major difference is that one is Pearl based while the other is Gold.

Both of the Spotlight palettes feature three pans: two shimmery shades in the form of Turn It On and Crank It Up plus one more sparkly hue in Blow a Fuse.

The shades can be used seperately or together to get a mega glow.

Turn It On and Crank It Up are smooth and pigmented and blend nicely to give a lovely warm glow to the skin.

Blow a Fuse is a completely different formula and is a tad more stiff with a dryer texture. While it swatched well it didnt adhere to the skin and seemed a little chunky. There is very little pigmentation there even in firm finger swatches and  it acts more like a sheer glittery topper rather than a stand alone product.

As a whole the palette is nice, the two shimmery shades are beautiful and would look amazing on medium to dark skin tones, Blow a Fuse is a little disappointing in its performance alone but could work well when layered over the other shades.

For die hard Casey fans this is a must, for every one else it proves definitely worth a swatch in store.

The Casey Holmes x Smashbox Spotlight Palette ($50)  is currently available both online and insotre at Mecca Maxima
