MAC Flamingo Park Collection
MAC are the undisputed Kweens of Limited Edition makeup collections, From their collaborations with celebrities, designers and musicians to seasonal varieties there is always something new to see while browsing their counters.
Australian consumers don’t always get to see all of the collections, with some being exclusively distributed in the US but we do see quite a few of the larger collections come through each year. Two larger collections have already been released this year and its only March. One such collection; Flamingo Park is currently on counter at the moment!
I was lucky enough to be invited to a MAC preview to see what would be coming up soon and gifted some product from current and upcoming collections (I don’t want to rub it in but I might even have some secret products in my hot little hands) and I wanted to show you what I have from the Flamingo Park collection quickly out before it is all sold out.
Left to right; Flocking fabulous (Cremesheen+Pearl), Saint Germain (Amp), Be Silly (Matte), Sweet tooth (Cremesheen glass)
As I write this all products are still in stock on the MAC website while some products are sold out at different counters ( I couldn’t even get the Rose pigment at the pro store I visited)
From MAC
A picnic…a park…a girl of whimsy with a sweet tooth…unexpected guests…a curious flamingo! Plunge into the punchy pleasures of pink in a freshly made batch of scrumptious colours for cheeks, eyes and lips that let you have your cake, and wear it too.
The branding and campaign for this collection is truly what dreams are made of, so whimsical and girly. As the name suggests Flamingo Park is made up of a myriad of pink and coral hues in a range of lipsticks, blushes, lip pencils and lipglosses. Some of the shades that are included in this collection are from the permanent line (such as Saint Germain) while many are in fact new and limited edition shades.
Flocking fabulous ($36) is a lovely bright coral red and is one of the special shades for this collection (scroll down for swatches)
MAC Powder Blush in What I Fancy ($41) is a light warm pink with a leaning towards apricot
MAC Beauty Powder in Sunny Surprise
While lipsticks and blushes are two of our most coveted products here at LNL one of the things I was most excited about was the vaguely named “Beauty Powder” in the shade Sunny Surprise ($47). This pale peachy powder is far more finely milled and “silky” feeling than the blush and comes in a foundation like compact as opposed to the blush or MSF packaging with the clear window in the top. When swatched its far less pigmented than a blush and so can be used in a a lot of different ways depending on the shade. On my skin it imparts a subtle rosey glow when used all over the face but can also be used as a gentle highlighter or setting powder.
Also included in the Flamingo Park collection are a lip pencils and a collection of beautiful eyeshadows in an array of warm rosey tones.

SURPRISE! Keep an eye out on Instagram in the next few days for your chance to win some pieces from this collection!

March 26, 2016This collection looks beautiful, I'd love one of the blushes! I don't think the lipsticks would be too flattering on me but I find Flocking Fabulous to be very appealing.
