Here is a little midweek makeup porn for you today! This is the Bobbi Brown Greige Palette! At $105 for this gorgeously compact palette its quite a hefty price but the elegant design and super cool, wearable shades meant that I just couldn’t walk past it (note I picked it up overseas)

The small, dark blue palette contains eight cool toned, neutral shadows. The shadows range in finishes from mattes to metallic and  can be used to create a soft, subtle contoured eye to a slightly more dramatic smokey eye. The small, sleek packaging makes it perfect for travel and with its dark blue, faux leather case makes it look like your passport to pretty eyes.

The quality of the shadows vary from shade to shade. The darker mattes tend to be more pigmented and smooth, while the paler shades are a little chalky. The shimmer shade is one of the nicest. The pale,glittery, metallic shade, lets the palette down slightly as its quite chunky and a little chalky but can be used to add extra dimension to the other shadows.

The Bobbi Brown Greige palette is an essential for true Bobbi Brown fans and is suited to those people who like a more subtle eye look rather than a super pigmented smokey eye. If you’re after a super pigmented, buttery shadow palette then maybe this isn’t for you but if you’re after an elegant, travel friendly, basic palette and are particularly fond of cool, neutral tones then you might like to head to your local Bobbi Brown counter to check it out.
