My MAC Lipstick Collection

I love a MAC lipstick like nobody’s business. Ive got a nice little collection of brights and a few neutrals in my stash purchased over the last few years. I thought I would share my collection with you, Id love you to let me know what shades you think I should pick up next!
The majority of my MAC lipstick shades are bright and bold. I want to get bang for my buck with these shades. I have a nice range of orange, corals and hot pinks.

mac pinks

left to right Lady Danger, Viva Glam Miley, Toying Around, Relentlessly Red, Morange.

Lady Danger

Lady danger is a gorgeous bright coral to  orange red, I love wearing this with a light neutral eye and big lashes. This shade brightens up my complexion like nothing else. The finish is matte without being too drying.

Viva Glam Miley

This is the only Viva Glam shade I have. Its a true hot pink. The finish is a lot softer than the matte lipsticks and a little more comfortable as well.

Toying Around

Toying Around was part of the Playland collection. Its amplified which means its creamy and super bright. ITs a bright but creamy coral shade.

Relentlessly Red

Relentlessly Red is more corally pink than the name would suggest. Its a bright but deeply intense coral pink to red. Its a retro matte finish which means that its super long lasting but can be quite drying.

Morange

Morange is one of those lipstick I purchased thinking I would wear all the time but it just hasn’t happened. I like it a lot but find that it seems to clash with most looks I usually wear. I will persist though because the gorgeous bright orange shade looks lovely on other people.

Nothing beats a red lipstick. I have real affinity with pink reds and wear them more than any other shades.

mac reds

Left to right: Candy Yum Yum, M.A.C Red, All Fired Up, Ruby Woo, Rebel

Candy Yum Yum

Candy Yum Yum is seriously bright. Its a neon cool toned pink. Its another matte lipstick and the shade has quite a lot of blue in it. This is the shade I imagine Barbie wearing.  This looks great as a statement lip with shimmery eyes.

MAC red

MAC Red is red perfection. Its a vivid blue toned red which in my opinion looks good on everyone. The finish is satin which means that its comfortable on the lips but not as long lasting as others.

All Fired Up

All Fired Up is what I imagine the old Hollywood screen sirens wearing. Its a bright red with a lot of fuschia in it. Its a retro matte which means that it lasts all day but is quite dry on the lips.

Ruby Woo

Ruby Woo is the most coveted red I know of. Its just lovely to look at but with its retro matte finish it can be hard to wear for some people. Its very matte and makes your lips look velvetty and deep. The bright ble based red is quite flattering.

Rebel

Rebel is one of my faves. It just looks so different on everyone. Its a hot pink plum shade. It looks a little scary in the tube but is gorgeous on the lips. Worn lightly with gloss this looks lovely all year round and by itself the satin finish still makes it wearable all year round.

mac lipstick 1Left to right: Girl About Town, Impassioned, Creme Cup, Up The Amp, Velvet Teddy, Snapdragon

Girl About Town is an amplified shade and is super creamy and comfortable on the lips. Its one of my favourites as it looks good with most eye looks and is the perfect not too bright fuschia pink.

Impassioned

Impassioned is another amplified creme shade. Its another fuschia shade but a lot less bright and more neutral than cool toned. The amplified lipsticks because of their cream formula tend to sit upon the lips a lot more than all the other finishes and this one seems to do it more so than others.

Creme Cup

Creme Cup is the perfect pink nude. It looks a lot creamier in the tube but tends to sheer out on the lips a fair bit. There isnt much to say other than this is a HG for many girls.

Up the Amp

Favourite, favourite, favourite. This muted purple is super wearable as its not too bright. The touch of creaminess from the amplified lipstick tones down the shade. Love! Although its not super bright it really brightens up my complexion.

Velvet Teddy

Velvet Teddy is a new shade for me. Its a nude brown and is right on the 90s trend. It tends to wash me out a bit so i need to make sure to wear a little more blush than ususal when wearing it.

Snapdragon

Snapdragon was part of the Fantasy of Flowers collection. It looks lovely in the tube but its super sheer formula makes the colour payoff a little disappointing. Its an orchid shade, a sheer blue toned pink.

Ive swatched up some of my favourites below. As you can see the brights are really up my alley.
