August Favourites

Hi beauties! Im so glad that the warmer seems to be on its way! For a while there it felt like Sydney was going to be stuck in Winter forever. There has been lots going on this month. Ive been to a few events showcasing lots of exciting stuff that will be coming up in the next few months.

In terms of makeup I haven’t really been switching it up too much other than blushes and lipsticks, my base generally consisted of the Itcosmetics CC+ cream MAC prolongwear concealer and my Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders.

Here are some of the new products that have landed on my desk this month, which have become quick favourites and some tried and trued classics I have loved this month.

Swisspers Cleansing Eye Make Up Remover Pads

swisspers

These little beauties from Swisspers are so handy to pop in your overnight bag to help cleanse all traces of even the most stubborn eye makeup from your eyes before you hit the pillow. They’re just like facial wipes except a little more “wet” and obviously smaller. The fluff free cotton pads are pre-moistened with a makeup removing solution so you can avoid having to bring your bulky bottle of eye makeup remover with you. I love a handy and easy product.

Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick in Granache

bite granache

I love bite beauty and my latest purchase from Sephora; the gorgeous shade Granache has been on my lips almost every day since purchasing last month. Its a beautiful purpley pink shade (its taken over from Nars Angela as my fave) and helps to brighten my whole face when wearing it. As usual the texture of these Luminous Creme Lipsticks is gorgeous.

The Body Shop Italian Summer Fig Eau De Toilette

body shop fig

I received this little green bottle as a gift at the recent launch of the Oils of Life range at The Body Shop (review coming up soon) The light fruity fragrance has been helping me to fast forward the last of winter. Its quite a subtle, sweet fragrance, nothing over poweringly floral or spicey and smells like a warm day in a garden.

Jurlique Rose Hand Cream

jurlique rose2

The Jurlique Rose Hand Cream is a cult favourite amongst generations of women. The rich rose scented cream helps to protect and soothe dry hands that have been abused by cold weather and endless washing up. This mini tube has lived in my handbag this month helping to work towards my lifetime goal of soft hands while on the go.

Maybelline Lash Sensational

lash sensation

Im a little picky with mascaras but have finally found a new drugstore one that I really dig. The Lash sensational by Maybelline gives a really seems to fan out and separate lashes giving a really wide eyed look. It reminds me a lot of Benefits roller lash. Ive been using this on and off the last couple of months and have been coming back to it over and over again.

Benefit Cosmetics High Beam

highbeamBenefit’s High Beam is not new, or even new to my collection but I have rediscovered it the last few weeks as I have been wanting a more cool toned highlight following the strobing trend. This icy pink shimmery liquid gives an ethereal look to the skin and has been lifting up and lighting up skin since before strobing was even a thing.

Sigma Spa Express Brush Cleaning Glove

sigma

I have *almost* been enjoying brush washing since receiving my Sigma brush cleaning glove. The silicone glove has lots of different textures to help deep cleanse eye and face brushes. This speeds up cleaning by managing the bristles and helping to truly rinse the cleanser and makeup from the brushes.

Carmex Jasmine Green Tea Lip Balm

carmex

Another oldie but goodie but now with a new twist. Ive had Carmex lip balms in my collection since i was a teen. The no fuss lip balm with the tell tale tingle than helps moisturise lips and protect from the elements now comes in a delicious smelling green tea variety. Ive got one in my handbag and one on my work desk to keep me going  a while.

I have the Lash Sensational Mascara waiting in my untrieds, I'm excited to try it out - I'm a huge fan of separated lashes so hopefully it works for me! That Bite lipstick looks gorgeous, too!

I just got the Sigma brush spa and I can't believe what a difference it makes in getting through brush washing day so much quicker! The Bite Beauty lipstick looks lovely. x

I've also just received the Sigma brush and now I am excited to put it to good use! I feel like Bite Beauty can do no wrong and there are so many lip products I want to purchase from the brand! I'm also enjoying the Maybelline Mascara although I find I have to be careful for it not to clump! My Benefit Roller lash has recently run out and it does seem like a pretty decent dupe!

Love!!!
