Ole Henriksen

One of the brands I was most excited about trying when I heard about Sephora opening in Australia was internationally acclaimed skincare brand Ole Henriksen.

Ive had the opportunity to try some of these raved about products now and wanted to share my thoughts on them with you.

ole brightIve been using four of their best selling products as part of my night time routine on a regular basis and have found them effective and powerful.

The first thing you notice about the brand is the gorgeously bright packaging which looks gorgeous on your shelves.

ole orange2The Pure Truth Melting Cleanser is glorious. Dipping your fingers into this gel cleanser you can feel how smooth it is. Be careful not to take too much out of the jar as a little goes a long way and it spreads out really far on your skin. Its one of those product that dramatically changes when it meets water. On application its transparent and smooth and then turns into a milky oil concoction once emulsified with warm water. I often apply this and massage all over the skin before jumping into the shower and allowing it to rinse off along with all the days makeup. Afterwards your skin feels moisturised and soft but has had all makeup washed off.

ole creamThe Sheer Transformations Moisturiser is light and suitable for day or night use. Its oil free and is designed to be used along with your choice of serum. It contains liquorice and vitamin C to reduce the appearance of aging as well as Vitamin E. The moisturiser is free from Parabens and sulphates which is a big tick from me. I can honestly say that I notice a difference when I use this product. I find that makeup sits better and my skin stays feeling  hydrated throughout the day.

ole serums

Speaking of serums the Invigorating night treatment is a serum which helps to brighten your complexion while you sleep by resurfacing skin using AHA. Take care if you have sensitive skin as it does tingle and can be a little harsh for those super sensitive spots. Used regularly the treatment helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and pores. Use before the Sheer Transformation Moisturizer for super hydrated skin in the morning. Do not use this in the morning as it does not contain SPF and may cause sun sensitivity.

The Truth Serum Collagen Booster is gentler than the night treatment and is designed for day or night use. It contains large amounts of vitamin C and smells like fresh orange juice.  I found it went on really smoothly and was easily absorbed and left the skin nice and shiny and ready for moisturiser.

Ole Henriksen skin care is on the pricey side but you can get a good deal by buying a kit such as the one I have. The 3 little wonders kit contains the truth serum collagen booster, invigorating night treatment and
sheer transformation moisturizer in one pack at a reduced price (approximately $75)

Ole Henriksen is available exclusively in store at Sephora Australia
