If you had told me six months ago that one of my favourite lip products would become a lip oil I would have probably doubted you. So, when four of the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil tubes arrived on my door step I barely batted an eyelid. I mean why differentiate a lip oil from a face oil and how could an oil be both light and long wearing?

But here we are six months later and I am in love with the hybrid formula which does indeed combine shine, lightness and a touch of colour in a long wearing formula.

For those who, like me, had never used a lip oil, the best way for me to describe these ones as a combination between a clear nourishing balm as well as a shiny lip gloss. It doesn’t feel like an oil as such, although it does have a lot of slip.

The formula of the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oils are remarkably long wearing, remarkable as the texture of the lip oil feels like it will disappear in a number of minutes.

The thing I loved most about these Clarins Lip Oil is the long lasting soft and plump feeling left on the lips hours after application. Even after the lip oil is gone, my lips feel soft almost as if I had applied a treatment.

So! that’s me sold!
