Thebalm Stainiac cheek and lip stains

With the warmer weather many of us are moving away from the gorgeous matte looks of winter and towards the pretty and dewey looks. Transluscent lips and fresh looking cheeks take centre stage. However, the sunny weather and heat means that often our makeup has less staying power and our face can slide right off! Stains and tints are the perfect solution that provide pretty dewey looks with the added bonus of long lasting staying powder.

Top to bottom: Homecoming Queen, Beauty Queen, Prom Queen unblended

Thebalm Stainiac are  a great trio of stains that can be used to give a healthy flush to cheeks and lips that lasts all day long. I purchased each of the three shades available;
Beauty Queen is a beautiful deep pink red that is perfect on it’s own or topped up with a little powder. This shade looks awesome on the cheeks paired with a pink to red lip and gives a gorgeous natural looking flush.
Homecoming Queen looks a strange colour in the tube as it’s quite an orange shade however on the cheeks it gives off a pretty coral shade that would look amazing with a. Sheer peachy or coral lip. This is perfection for pretty spring looks.
Prom Queen is more of a true red than Beauty Queen and has touches of orange undertones. This looks amazing on the cheeks with orange through to red shades such as the gorgeous Lady Danger by MAC.
All these shades look great on the lip when paired with a tinted gloss such as the balmshelter or pucker your pout glosses by thebalm.  You can see a rosey lip look I achieved with Beauty Queen here
As you can see below the staining power of these products is amazing and the staining is very long lasting.

The staining power is amazing, the product was wiped off after 30 seconds and this was the result.

While there are a growing number of stains and tints on the market the thing I really like about these stains over others is the portability and ease of use. They apply like a lipgloss with a doe tip wand, the gel like formula make them exceptionally easy to blend and they’re not so heavily pigmented that they stain straight away. See my comparison of a Stainiac stain compared to the market leader stain here
Priced at approximately $22 these stains are available from Adore beauty and selected David Jones stores in Australia.
