It Cosmetics CC+ Oil-Free Matte
One of the worlds best selling products; the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream is expanding its face base family with the upcoming launch of the super anticipated It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Oil-Free Matte foundation ( aka It Cosmetics CC+ Oil-Free Matte)
When It Cosmetics announced the launch our oilier skinned friends rejoiced as the original formula has been known to be a little too dewey for some skin types.
I was lucky enough to be gifted a tube of the yet to be released product and gave it a good test over the course of a few days.
The It Cosmetics CC+ Oil-Free Matte foundation marks an increase in the shade range for the brand, which in the past has been criticised for its limited inclusivity in shades. It Cosmetics has introduced half shades such as light medium which eliminates the need for mixing shades for a lot of consumers. There are twelve shades which still leaves plenty of room for growth.

The new It Cosmetics CC+ Oil-Free Matte claims, like the original to build from natural to full coverage to even out skin tone with its pigment rich formulation. however unlike the original dewey and hydrating product this formula promises to minimise pores and control oils while still hydrating the skin. I took the CC+ cream fr a test with different tools as well as using different primers over a couple of days.
While testing (and on subsequent days) I found that it was very easily blendable with both a beauty blender as well as the It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection Brush but i preferred the sheered out look that the sponge gave.
The formula is significantly less slippery and dewey than the original and imparts a nice natural finish to the skin before any powder is applied and while it is far more mattifying than the original the overall finish is more velvet than true matte.
While the product is not truly matte it did a great job of controlling oils and staying together throughout the day. You can see my full results in the video below.
The It Cosmetics CC+ Oil-Free Matte ($61) will available exclusively instore at Sephora from the 26th September
