L’OREAL INFALLIBLE PRO GLOW

Finally! The L’Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation is here. The foundation launched recently in Australia and Australian beauty lovers are jumping for joy at the chance to try the foundation that international beauty bloggers have been raving about for months.

The L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro Glow ( $27.95) promises 24hour All – Day Glowy skin.

Here is what L’Oreal says about the product

L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation is enriched with Vitamin E. The hydrating formula keeps skin looking fresh all day long, while the lightweight formula offers superior bendability. This longwear, dewy, glow finish is great for normal to dry skin offering a medium coverage. SPF 15 protection. This dewy foundation shows that longwear can be anything but dull and never greasy.

I decided to pick up the foundation while overseas and picked up two shades to try out. I was lucky enough to also receive the Australian shades (we’ will talk more about that in a moment) as a PR sample from L’Oreal as well.

I was looking forward to trying out the foundation on my combination, 30+ dehydrated skin, and was keen to see how a foundation designed for dryer skin would work for me.

The first thing i noticed (much to my dismay) is that the shade range brought to Australia is half of what is offered in the rest of the world.  Only six shades of Pro Glow are available instore with the darkest shade on offer being 208 Sun Beige. In other parts of the world there are an additional four shades offered after 208.

In my opinion Sun Beige will be suitable for some women of colour but those with anything deeper than a medium – dark skin tone will be unable to use the foundation.

Shades 201, 202, 203, 204, 207 and 208 are available in Australia. Note 205 (purchased in USA) is also shown here between 204 and 207

The foundation applied beautifully and needed minimal blending to get lovely medium to full coverage. The finish as expected is very glowy and tended to become even more glowy and radiant as the day progressed. Since trying out the foundation in the video I have found that the L’Oreal Infallible Pro Glow works best with a sponge, and for me powdering is essential.

Other makeup, particularly powders layered over the foundation quite well and I found that at the end of the day all i needed was a blot and some more powder to get the foundation to look good once more.

See the video below to see my full thoughts.

I definitely need to try out this foundation (not that I need any more foundations - I own a shocking amount.) But now that we're heading into colder months I can finally embrace glowy foundations. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for this when it goes on sale! Lovely review!

I’m keen to try this out. I heard the original one was amazing but I’ve got dry skin and the matte formula didn’t appeal to me. But this sounds great!

I love the glowy finish! I love the original Infallible, which has the most hardcore full coverage, this sounds like a good option for when I'm after a more natural look.

These sound like a foundation I would love to try!

It's a pity for darker skinned girls that the whole range was not brought to Australia!
