The Huda Beauty eye shadow palettes have caused a stir in the last couple of years. To say they are dividing would be an understatement. Some people swear by the multi textured palettes while others think that the formula does not warrant the luxury price tag.  There are so many people keen to try them but not wanting to commit (the regular palettes retail for $95 in Sephora Australia)

Just in time for the holidays Huda Beauty have released a number of smaller nine pan palettes each focused on a particular shade family. The palettes retail for $48 in Sephora Australia and the collection consists of

• Smokey Obsessions (gold, browns and black)
• Mauve Obsessions (Rosey, mauve and maroon)
• Warm Brown Obsessions (warm oranges and browns)
• Electric Obsessions (Bright neons)

Of course we all know which of the palettes I was going to pick up right? With my recent love of rosey, pinks and rose gold on the eyes I thought it was only natural that I picked up the Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions palette

The Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions palette contains 9 shades; 5 matte and 2 shimmer and 1 glitter and looks like the most instagram worthy make up item ever made.

As someone who really liked the original Textured Rose Gold palette as well as the Desert Dusk Palette I was keen to see if these smaller, more affordable palettes compared to the originals.

So i took the Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions eyeshadow palette for a go. You can see the results and all of my thoughts in the video below!
