Maybelline Color Blur Matte Lip Pencil

Maybelline Color Blur Matte Lip Pencil

You will notice a few things over the next few weeks. The first thing is that I will slowly be incorporating video snippets into my posts to give you a more realistic look at the products I will be featuring. The second thing you will notice is the influx of quality lip products being released in the drugstore.

Maybelline Color Blur Matte Lip Pencil

One such product is the newly released Maybelline Color Blur Matte Lip Pencil lipsticks. This time last year I was introducing you to the Maybelline Color Drama Velvet Lip Pencil and pretty much thought they were the best thing since sliced bread.

These new Maybelline Color Blur Matte Lip Pencil lipsticks have a lot in common with the products I reviewed last year; both are affordable, creamy and extremely pigmented at just one swipe.

The major difference with the Maybelline Color Blur Matte Lip Pencil lipsticks is in their packaging. The slimline pencils contain a wind up (no sharpening) lip colour on one end and a silicone pointed tip on the other

The formula of the Maybelline  Color Blur Matte Lip Pencil lipsticks is fabulous. Theyre longwearing and creamy, the colours are intense with just a single swipe. The product leaves a nice stain on the lips (I had fun trying to scrub my arms after this post) The only negative I can mention regarding this formula is that it was slightly drying and I did find that it settled into fine lines after a few hours. If you have lips that are a little dry like mine, rubbing a small amount of balm into them before applying may help to reduce this issue

As mentioned the back of the product has a white silicone smudger designed to help push the colour into your lips as well as sheer out the product giving lips a pretty stained flush which is oh so on trend in Asia at the moment. The smudger also is ideal for blending shades together to help create an Instagram worthy ombre lip.

The Maybelline Color Blur Matte Lip Pencil lipsticks are available in 10 creamy shades; from super bright brights (watch the video below to see me discover a dupe) a gorgeous mauve, and some beautiful red and berry shades.

Great Post, these look great I just wished they brought out more nude shades as I am not huge on a bright lip haha

I found out about the original maybelline colour drama pencils through you last year, and I own 5 different colours now! They're my absolute fav lip products. Do you prefer these new pencils or the original ones? I really hope the original pencils won't be getting discontinued :(
