Wowsers! How pretty are these! Clinique have released (very quietly) a new range of powder blushers in pretty colours and even prettier packaging.

Im assuming that these are being released to coincide with the Northern hemisphere’s Spring and am not sure whether they are part of a greater collection or are going to be a permanent product line.

It seems that Clinique are starting to pick up their game in terms of their image and packaging with the release of the cute chubby stick for eyes and lips and now these blushes embossed with pretty gerberas.

Im not sure what its like in the rest of the world but here the brand is associated with an older market (I include myself in that category) and seem to miss out on the younger market because of their use of limited (muted) colour palette and of course their price point. However, these latest products seem to signal a shift in the branding

Will I buy one? Im not sure! These babies are priced at a cool $40 and are available in four colours. Im thinking I might give them a miss ( even though they’re so pretty!!!!) considering that for an extra $5 I am able to buy a Nars blush in store at Mecca (and much cheaper online) Perhaps at the US price of $A24 I might think about it but considering that I have enough blush to last me (quite) a few years these might be just something I look at longingly as I walk through the beauty department of Myer or David Jones.
