JULY BEAUTY FAVES

Brrrr its been a cold one in Sydney this month! And I spent the most of it resting up and recharging for the second half of the year. I spent a lot of time snuggled under blankets watching Netflix (did anyone else love Okja?) during a two week break from work. I had intended to spend a whole lot of time creating content for youtube and the blog but actually ended up doing the opposite. Apart from Instagram, I took a bit of a self imposed break as I reevaluated how much time I spent online and the mental ramifications of my go go go mentality.

I never imagined starting a YouTube channel, and anyone who has ever created on that platform will tell you how much work goes into creating content that is interesting and well produced. I had to take a step back and realise that YouTube is not a full time gig for me and that I was happy having these videos as supplementary material to this blog. Im a way away from creating perfect, well edited content but I have enjoyed creating so far and will continue for as long as I am able to manage it.

Despite a lack of copious blog posts and videos this month I was actually trying out a whole bunch of new products. Some such as the Zoeva Basic Moments Palettes were from the Sephora showcase that I attended last month and quite a few were provided to me as pr samples.

One such item was the Jurlique Rosewater Replenishing Mist Intense. I had been wanting to try this for the longest time and the refreshing feeling and amazing scent had me hooked from the first application.

I was also blown away by some of the Mecca Max products which were sent to me as a preview. The double ended mascara quickly became my favourite mascara of the month.

The Basic Moments Face palette ended up being quite versatile and perfect for both the face and the eyes and gave a natural, no fuss kind of look which was perfect for me for work.

I also enjoyed some pretty “bougie” products this month from  Marc Jacobs beauty. After almost a year of searching I finally was able to purchase the ReMarcable foundation in the right shade in Sephora and with a little work (read a lot of skin prep before hand) found that it wore beautifully on my skin. The Omega bronzer, which made its way to me via an amazing pr send out this month was an instant winner, with a beautiful soft texture and perfect tone for my skin.

I was suprised by how much I ended up loving the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil. Its the first lip oil I ve every tried and found that the texture of the product helped my lips feel great and was really long lasting through out the day.

There were quite a few other favourites this month! Check out the video below to see them!
