Too Faced Merry Macarons Palette

There is a mighty Christmas post on its way to this very website. To whet your appetite I thought I would share a few more details about some of the items that will be featured. One such product is the much covetted Too Faced Merry Macarons Palette.

This pretty, pink palette is packaged up in a lovely 3d Christmas scene featuring pop up elements and a bonus deluxe sample of the better than sex mascara.

The Too Faced Merry Macarons Palette ($57)  contains 12 smooth and pigmented shades in a range of ultra wearable neutrals. Amongst the neutrals is a single bright colour in the blue shifting purple called Violet Cassis.

There are five smooth mattes, In my opinion these mattes are almost as good as my HG Chocolate Bar palette. Theyre not quite as pigmented, with slightly less payoff but are as smooth (if not smoother) and easy to blend.

The shimmer shades are the true winner in this palette. Banana Cream is exceptional both in shade and texture. Ive found that applying with my finger is the best way to apply, then using a fluffy brush to blend out.  Using a flat brush does weild good results also.

As with many of the Too Faced eye shadow palettes the Too Faced Merry Macarons Palette features a sweet scent. Describes as a vanilla fragrance; to me it has almost creamy, coconut note to the vanilla.

This palette would be a great gift for someone who enjoys neutral shades and needs something to wear on a day to day basis. With the exception of the shimmery black shade and purple this holiday palette features all the types of shades that I enjoy wearing.

The Too Faced Merry Macarons Palette is a limited edition product as is sold exclusively at Mecca in Australia.

This palette is gorgeous and I think the bright pink shade is gorgeous but what would you pair it with from within the palette? It would make a fun pop of color if you could get it to work right. And I love the fact that this palette also has a really sweet scent!
