2016 was the year of the eyeshadow palette overload.  One product that stood out however, was a collaboration between one of  one of Australia’s favoutite beauty YouTubers and a UK based company. The Ciate X Chloe Morello Beauty Haul was more than just an eyeshadow palette though.

Chloe was one of the first beauy gurus to make a mark on the YouTube scene, she is well known for her effortless  glmaour as well as her funny and down to Earth nature.

The Ciate X Chloe Morello Beauty Haul was released on the Mecca website in early October and sold out in under 24 hours. Limited stock was sent out to stores making this sought after product disappointingly hard to get a hold of. Later that month a restock of 50o sets (online only) was snapped up by eager beauty junkies (this beauty blogger got up at 6 to puchase) and again was sold out in record time.

Whispers across the beauty community hint at a third and final limited restock of the Ciate X Chloe Morello Beauty Haul happening shortly (keep an eye on both my and Meccas socials) but from then on will be only available online from the Ciate website

The haul features three makeup items all in a elengant makeup case in the classic navy and bronze Ciate shades. THe case is lined to protect your makeup items when you travel.

Each haul contains a mini Liquid Velvet in the shade Pinup ( a lovely dark neutral) and a mini Wanderwand mascara in black. The star of the show is, however, the 15 pan Pretty, Fun & Fearless Palette. This version of the palette features a mix of best-selling Ciaté London shades as well as a selection of shadows chosen by Chloe.

The palette features a wide range of shades that can give a multitude of looks; from a barely threre buff eyes, to a warm cranberry eye look perfect for the holidays or a bold, smokey navy blue look.

The shadows are finely milled and smooth but are slightly drier than what I expected. The pigmentation,  blendability and general feel of the individual shadows wildly exceeded my expectations.

Shades like skinny dip, melt effortlessly into he skin, giving a subyle warmth to the eye while adding a shimmery shde such as dainty gives a pretty, soft but polished look that is subtle for every day.
