Revlon Colorstay 2 in 1 Makeup and Concealer
New! Revlon Colorstay 2 in 1 Makeup and Concealer solves one of life’s biggest beauty problems.
Few items are more difficult to transport than your foundation. Spills, smudges, cracked lids and powder spillages are all common problems when trying to maintain your base on the go. The latest offering from Revlon however is set to change this.
The Revlon Colorstay 2 in 1 Makeup and Concealer is a new cream foundation in an easy to use, and portable pan, paired with an expertly matched concealer shade.
The packaging is a well designed tiered clam shell compact containing a large pan of cream foundation, a separate tier for concealer and another for a high quality makeup sponge and generously sized mirror
The foundation is beautifully smooth and emollient and does not cling to dry spots like other cream foundations I have tried before. I used both a beauty blender and brush to apply the foundation and found that it blended in well when used on top of a primer (for the record I used both the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind primer the Hourglass Veil primer)
I provided what I would consider medium coverage and gave quite a natural (not quite matte) finish until you try building up coverage when it could look a little cakey. The shade range (9 shades in Australia, 12 in the US) varied from neutral to quite rosey toned foundations and its worth noting that the shades look a lot more wearable when swatched than they do in the pan.
The foundation looked great on the skin for a number of hours but after approximately 5 hours of wear it tended to break up as a result of my natural oils coming through and tended to become quite greasy. Powdering helped to combat some of the shininess but was only a temporary solution.
The true draw card of the Revlon Colorstay 2 in 1 Makeup and Concealer is the perfectly matched concealer shade. I actually liked the concealer more than the foundation as it was creamy, not too thick but provided real coverage.
The shades are as follows..
110 – Ivory, 150 – Buff, 180 – Sand Beige, 200 – Nude, 220 – Natural Beige, 240 – Medium Beige, 310 – Warm Golden, 320 – True Beige, 330 – Natural Tan.
The Revlon Colorstay 2 in 1 Makeup and Concealer are currently on sale at Priceline for $25 at the time of publishing.
