Summer time blues.. blue nail polish
Blue nail polish can be intimidating!
The super plastic looking blues of the past could be quite garish and nobody really wants to end up with blu tac nails (anyone else use to do this as a kid?) Lucky for us there are a wide range of beautiful shades from soft baby blues to vivid metallics that are going to chase away our blues and give our hands and toes a real pop of colour!
Here are some of the best.
Faby nail laquers are made in Italy and pride themselves on being FIVE free; that is, they’re free from DBP, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin & Camphor. Sunglasses and Bikini is a shiny ocean blue with a creamy finish. Dont disturb my puppy is a pale cornflower blue. Its a great start for those who are afraid to jump in the deep end!
Scout Cosmetics also boast a five free formula, are made in Australia and are proudly cruelty free! You Oughta know is a rich electric blue. The jewel tone is super sparkly and sure to stand out!
Essie polishes are a favourite of the young and old because of their fun and on trend shades. Saltwater happy is a sweet pastel blue leaning slightly to a violet blue. While Pret-a-surfer is a slightly darker. but still creamy marine blue. The new and improved brush on these makes application a breeze.
Finally, when I saw that my favourite polish brand OPI were teaming up with everybody’s favourite pink superstar; Hello Kitty I immediately knew that I would be all over that collection! My Pal Joey is a true creamy blue and is absolutely perfect!
Left to right; Opi – My Pal Joey, Faby – Dont disturb my puppy, Essie – Pret-a-surfer, Essie – saltwater happy, Scout- You oughta know, Faby – Sunglasses and Bikini.
