Shanghai Suzy Lipsticks – swatches and review…

Hi guys these are my swatches of the autumn/winter shades of the Shanghai Suzy lipstick collection. Even though the spring collection has just been released I thought I would post my thoughts and swatches of these as I know some instore stockists of these will still have stock. Also the watermelon shade Miss Sally is still for sale on the website. So here we go.
Shanghai Suzy is owned and run by the lovely Joanna Wheaton. She set up Shanghai Suzy to offer consumers high quality lipsticks in fashion colours at a reasonable price. The collections are limited edition and inspired by that seasons trends. At $12.95 a piece they’re more affordable than some drugstore lippies but their formula rivals some of the more high end brands.

I purchased four shades; Miss Sally (watermelon), Miss Tegan (cherry), Miss Claire (fire engine red) and Miss Melissa (hot pink) I took advantage of the buy 3 get one free offer and paid approximately $39 for four high quality, highly pigmented lipsticks. All shades are matte but are not drying at all.
My favourite of the bunch has to be Miss Melissa, which is a bright pop of pink that would be suitable year round. The formula is moisturising and a little goes a long way. I’ve worn this shade the most of the four.
Miss Tegan is a gorgeous bright red with a touch of pink to give a sultry pop of cherry lips. This pretty close to Ms Melissa as a favourite shade.
Miss Cherie is probably my least favourite of the shades I purchased. There is nothing wrong with it per se but the shade is a little more dull than the others. It’s still a great red shade that has mode orange undertones in my opinion.
And last but not least Miss Sally is a lovely watermelon shade. In my opinion it verges on an orangey coral shade and it so different to a lot of other shades I own.  This shade is still available on the website.

And there you go, there are my swatches! I really recommend you try these lipsticks out. I had heard great things about them on Instagram and am so glad that I purchased these four. The new shades look gorgeous and it’s taking all of my willpower not to purchase them all.
If you want any more information about the brand or want to see more of these shades leave me a comment below.
Shanghai Suzy lipsticks can be purchased from their website as well as many stockists around the nation. Check the website for details.
